The purpose of this drawing is to gain a better understanding of how the skeleton lays under the skin. It is very important when drawing (or any media) to have a mental construct of the internal anatomy of the body, particularly the skeleton in muscles. Then drawing becomes a process of construction where you build the body from the ground up. This is most helpful when trying to draw directly out of the mind's eye. The drawing as too large to scan, so I had to photograph it. Unfortunately, it was done in a very light pencil so the lines didn't show up too well in the original photograph. To compensate I converted the image to grayscale and made level adjustments. It definitelly didn't make the presentation any prettier, but at least you can see the details.
